San Diego Zoo

My sister, Blanco, and her boyfriend, Sean, came to visit us for a few days this summer. When I asked them what they wanted to do, the first thing they said was to go to the San Diego Zoo. I was actually a little surprised at first, cuz they’re both young with no kids and I figured they’d want to something a little more “fun”. But I tend to forget that the San Diego Zoo is one of our city’s biggest attractions! And living in San Diego for 10 years, we’ve been to the zoo countless times. I forget that we live in a city that other people take vacations in 🙂 Anyways, it was a good excuse to visit the zoo again with the girls so I took a couple days off from work and we went on a Friday afternoon. It was perfect because there weren’t that many people even though it was Labor Day weekend. It was hot as hell, but we waited till mid afternoon so the hottest part of the day was over. We drank slushy margaritas and strolled throughout the park. The girls had fun and my sister and Sean got to check this one off this list!
