For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a fascination with witches. I read a teen book about Wiccan’s and I was hooked. Then it was Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Hocus Pocus, The Craft, Practical Magic, Harry Potter! I eventually accepted, I wasn’t going to just magically grow up and turn into a witch.. no pun intended. Until this Halloween! When all my spooky witchy dreams came true.
My mom, her husband Joe, and I decided to volunteer at Calista’s school Trunk or Treat. Joe brought his car, my mom entered the chili cook off, and I passed out candy to all the goblins and ghouls. I have to give my mom the credit for putting together the whole witch theme.
I feel like being a witch for Halloween is the most under-rated costume. Or maybe even the most cliche. But nonetheless, it’s for sure the easiest and most cost effective costume – and I’m all for that! Especially since I’m notorious for trying to throw something together the night before Hallows Eve.
You literally can not go wrong. Wear all black, throw on a witch hat, grab a broom (optional) and call it a night.
